Â鶹Éç has released the research topics for the 2020 National Housing Research Program (NHRP) agenda which will contribute to the growing evidence-base in the housing, homelessness, cities, urban policy fields.

The 2019–20 Federal Budget was recently announced and includes the following measures relating to housing and homelessness.

Â鶹Éç has awarded researchers from Curtin University and the University of Tasmania at the recent Australasian Housing Researchers Conference, held in Adelaide. Respected academic Professor Rachel Ong ViforJ, Professor of Economics at the School of Economics, Finance and Property, Curtin University, was awarded the Professor Mike Berry Award for Excellence in Housing Research.

Â鶹Éç and Q Shelter are partnering to undertake an evaluation of the Community Rent Scheme (CRS) program. The CRS is a housing assistance program funded by the Queensland Government through the Department of Housing and Public Works.

The research undertaken for Â鶹Éç by researchers from UNSW Sydney and Swinburne University of Technology, examines the extent short term letting (STL) is contributing to housing affordability pressures and highlights the most effective responses available to regulators.
